Over the years, many articles have been written on the Morris. Cecil Sharp was the original researcher and much of his material is available through the Vaughan Williams Memorial Library at Cecil Sharp House London.

There have been two other notable students of Morris in more recent times: Russell Wortley and Roy Dommett. Russell wrote extensively and collected many items which are now archived at Sheffield University at the National Centre for Cultural Tradition - NATCECT

Roy published many notes and pamphlets which he has made available through Nigel Sparkes website. See especially his lecture notes from Sidmouth and Scarborough.
